Managing IT assets can bring big rewards

Most organisations can calculate how much their warehouses, manufacturing equipment or company vehicles are worth, but few are able to provide an accurate figure for the software applications, hardware and networking equipment.
“The write-off of IT assets at most organisations doesn’t even begin to touch on value,” agrees Andy Mulholland. “It’s a symptom of a hardware-based past and it doesn’t take into account how much IT contributes to improved efficiency, to customer relations, to the agility required to bring compelling new products and services to market before your competitors do.”
